WINDOWS 7 LESSON 7 - HOW TO REMOVE PROGRAMS Print this page |
IN WINDOWS XP REMOVING PROGRAMS WAS REALLY EASY. YOU SIMPLY OPENED THE “CONTROL PANEL” AND SELECTED THE ADD/REMOVE PROGRAMS ICON. BUT THAT WAS TOO EASY, AND IN WINDOWS 7, IT JUST DOESN’T WORK THAT WAY.
IF YOU ARE A WINDOWS VISTA USER, YOU MAY ALREADY HAVE UNLOCKED THE SECRET OF HOW TO REMOVE PROGRAMS FROM YOUR COMPUTER. IT WORKS THE SAME WAY IN WINDOWS 7.
CLICK ON START AND THEN OPEN THE CONTROL PANEL. NOW, USING THE DEFAULT VIEW OF YOUR CONTROL PANEL, AND CLICK ON PROGRAMS, UNDER PROGRAMS YOU WILL FIND A LINK TO UNINSTALL PROGRAMS. ONCE YOU CLICK ON THAT LINK, WINDOWS WILL BRING UP THE LIST OF INSTALLED PROGRAMS. CLICK ON THE ONE YOU WANT TO REMOVE, AND THEN CLICK REMOVE. NOW YOU CAN REMOVE PROGRAMS AND UPDATES TO YOUR HEART’S CONSENT.
F YI - IF YOU HAPPENED TO OPEN THE PROGRAMS LINK, UNINSALL PROGRAMS WILL BE YOUR 1ST OPTION.
